Water trough float valve arm
Lever-type float valves on cattle and sheep troughs — send a photo, they vary by make.
What goes wrong with the original.
Cracks at the pivot after years of cycling, or the float thread strips. The valve body itself is brass and will last; the arm is the consumable.
PETG
Permanently wet and partly submerged. PETG is hydrophobic and does not absorb water, so it keeps its dimensions and strength in a trough where PLA would soften and nylon would swell.
Orientation, infill and fixings
Pivot bore printed vertically for a round, accurate hole. Solid infill. Float thread modelled from your original because the pitch is not standard across manufacturers.
Stated plainly
Arm only. We do not make the valve seat or seal — those are cheap and should be genuine.
£5–8 · indicative
Quoted properly from your photograph. Ready in about 3 working days from the original or a good picture; batches take a little longer and cost less per part.
Send a photograph of yours.
Yours will differ from the one described here — they always do. The picture tells us how.
